Top Leasing Questions:
1. How many SF am I really leasing, ask them
to state the SF not just an
office number in the lease
2.When does my lease start and end, make
note of these dates so you can
easily refer back to them
3. Does my lease have an automatic renewal
in it? Make note of any
requirements for notice should
you not wish
to renew automatically
4.How much am I paying for internet, phone
equipment rental, long distance,
etc. get these costs listed out
in the lease
so you can easily tell if these
costs go up
5. What deposits are actually being charged,
get tem detailed in the lease
and see how refunds are provided
for after
you move out or time passes
6. How much am I paying for parking, have
this noted in the lease
7. Does the lease provide for increases due
to higher operating costs or is
it fixed, get it noted in the
lease
8.Long distance & internet charges are
negotiable - check around on this
9. When can I move in & out of the space,
what are the mover's insurance
requirements?
10. What are the hours that the A/C runs
in the space, don't assume it runs
24/7.
